Introduction to NameAsteroids

They are tiny little space rocks floating all over the place in the Asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Named by the person who discovered them or named after people, places, plants, concepts or deities, and mythical lovers. These names are then judged & approved by the IAU. Although the asteroids are young, their significance is reflected within our own birthchart, event chart, and other types of charts.
Nameasteroid provide additional information to what’s found in the natal chart and portray the story attached to a person within our life with great detail to how we see and experience someone individually. You can search the names of loved ones, family, friends, enemies,… in the Asteroid databank on astro.com

When we are born, the names of our loved ones are already within us. It’s a matter of time to come across these people and activate their name in our chart. This is where the journey begins. Therefore it’s utterly pointless to be looking at names of people you haven’t met yet, consciously.

Nameasteroids carry more weight and importance than expected, for which I conducted research to comprehend their psychological dimension. As of now, I’m the only astrologer with expertise in the domain of named asteroids and their broad purpose due to my extensive observation, research and experience with them.

The house placement and the aspects that are made to the name can clear up some things around that person. Conjunction are the strongest. The closer the ‘better’. When a name asteroid touches one of your planets, points or asteroids, the energy is activated. Aspects other than conjunctions also activate, but a weak influence since asteroids are still very young.

As far as I know, I’m the only Astrologer devoting time and research to the NameAsteroids. Up until now, it has been used for fun and superficial purposes, however, I have a completely different opinion and experience with these Asteroids. They provide a revolutionary way of chart analysis and even relationship interpretation from a personal point of view. Watch the video above for more information..

Nameasteroids are interwoven with the natal promise. Therefore significant relationships are often connected to ‘difficult’ placements in the natal chart, such as the northnode, signs whose ruler is challenged, houses with difficult placements or association with 29°,…
However, it is advised to consider the Natal promise first before judging or making any assumptions.
The NameAsteroids provide an additional layer and dimension of detail and show how a person influences our evolution and awareness (of self).

Name asteroids in the house

The house placement shows the area of life where the person represented by the nameasteroid exerts most influence, for either good or bad. It is the force and divine reasons behind the connection. It shows the themes and concerns that are pushed to the forefront through engagement. The most basic meaning of the house can appear throughout various stages of the contact. A Name highlights certain issues and enables us to see how we deal with the concepts and themes of that house : they can heal or torment us within this area.

1st House
Creates a feeling of will and self-direction, seeing the person as a competition or as a part of you. A contact that motivates and encourages the need to dissect and introspect oneself. The person is somehow always close to you, part of you. It also means that your physical body is involved either by sexual interaction, a fight,.. Your freedom of movement is affected either positively or negatively. This person may help you in self-discovery or become a huge part in defining who you are. They may remind you of yourself and inspire you to be more expressive and individual. Great personal similarities. These are the contacts that help self-awareness and self-respect.

2nd House
Highlights self-esteem and worth. Having similar values or sensual style, a contact that helps you to feel supported and secure, or not at all. Finances are often a key theme and may become the source of disagreements, fears, or insecurity. There’s often a strong physical attraction present, a sensual connection. Problems with possessiveness and anxiety that prevent you from connecting correctly. Similar value systems that connect you. These are the contacts that help to realize your potential and how you use your talents to help you grow and become more grounded within yourself.

3rd House
An emphasis on your mental processes and the ways you understand the world around. Sharing similar styles of communication and similar interests. A journey of learning and the exchange of ideas. Periodic absence is possible, or not getting past the stage of small talk and superficiality. You may study the same topics or like the same things. Often a rational contact and less romantic. An interaction that inspires you and increases your curiosity, such as learning new things. The one that knows a lot of tidbits and random information. These are the contacts that help you to distinguish and puzzle the pieces together.

4th House
Exposure of the inner world, often memorable contacts. A feeling of familiarity, a caring and nurturing bond, integrated. or feeling hurt around them. Could show family members, mothers or motherly figures, or those you consider your soul tribe. People you have lived or live with. A caring and nurturing bond, learning about the meaning of home, one feels safe and secure with the NameAsteroid, or the complete opposite ; one to disrupt your sense of peace. Or there are feelings of hurt when you’re around them, they may trigger your sentimental side. This person may help you to understand your own family dynamic or what it means to have a family. These are the contacts that help to define your worth, to realize what you’re capable of.

5th house
People who help you in the process of creative development to define your own style and (artistic) signature. Often a heartfelt contact. Creates pleasant and romantic feelings, desire for children, or they are a thread on your self-expression. This could mean the person is a parent of your children, a lover or maybe even an affair. The person usually sparks joy, romantic or affectionate feelings, you feel turned on by them. This person may inspire you within your self-expression and in the development of your own creativity. They may help you discover your own style and what you think is pleasurable. Name asteroids in this house could also show the people you’ve had casual sex with. Sometimes the 5th house shows close friendships as well. These are the contacts that help you to distinguish.

6th house
Often, an unequal dynamic ; you’re faced with the imperfections of both yourself and another. One of the least romantic placements, sacrificing tendency. Lifestyles often don’t merge harmoniously and require compromise. One the more positive side, one feels inspired to make the necessary changes. Could indicate the people you need to take care of in this life, the people you work for or maybe the people you feel submissive towards and want to serve. Self-esteem issues tend to surface ; you either feel superior or worthless. The person may make you more aware about self-care and inspire you to make healthy changes and habits where needed. It could also show the people who influence your health and daily routines. It can indicate the people you live with in some cases. Sometimes it shows the people you’re annoyed by. The are the contacts that help you to accept imperfections, to make constructive changes.

7th house
The need to learn to cooperate. NameAsteroids in 7th, do not indicate one to be(come) your spouse, however, it’s possible to have the name of spouse/long-term partner in 7th. The contact tends to bring out the shadow self. One can be a stranger to you, an enemy, a close friend or it may be a person you’ve met through others or partner. People that have a significant impact onto how you go about love and relationships. An intimate bond is when you accept the individual differences. To be exposed to the parts of you that you don’t want to accept, or the other embodies traits that you want to cultivate yourself. Often confrontational relationships. These are the contacts that help you to set boundaries and to understand what healthy cooperation and compromise looks like.

8th house
Characterized by whirlwinds and intensity. Intense attraction and curiosity. Pushing out the psychological garbage and traumatic leftovers. Tendency of keeping secrets from one another, or full-blown exposure, power struggles in some way or another. Significant and transformative experiences, something you need to undergo to support the soul’s evolution. The person could be involved in your (sexual) trauma or healing. This person may help to push old wounds to your surface so that you can heal. People that are in your 8th house are either intimidating, annoying and mysterious or appeal sexually attractive. Sometimes people who are dominant and demanding can appear in the 8th house. To be faced with your deep need of control, whether you realize it or not. Something needs to be let go of, regenerate.
These are the people that transform you and your life, to let go of fears and inhibitions.

9th house
A contact based on expanding your knowledge and horizon. Often platonic. These people help you to define your dreams and purpose. A (shared) journey to find truth, one may be the reason that you finally understand something better in your life. Could show teachers, gurus or people we’ve met in a foreign place, at high school or some sort of course. These relationships have a strong emphasis on exploration, experimentation and learning. Sometimes, exaggerated experiences or behavior. It can show the people we have to deal with in legal matters as well. We could see the person as wise and well-educated, it could be someone we learn a lot from. This indicates a person who is important to your spiritual journey in life. 
These are the people who bring experiences to you that expand your understanding.

10th house
Important placement for these NameAsteroids influence our path. Learning to understand your mission as well as finding your place in the world. Creates nd stimulates ambition, being inspired. Sometimes it can indicate one to feel better than the other person. The person pushes you to go in a certain direction in your life, just by being present as well as the things you may have experienced due to this person, which simply change your outward image (for worse or better). Usually, it shows a professional type of relationship towards the person. Work-related matters are often a theme, one may have a specific status or is heavily focused onto such. Often social people or those that are known and respected. Authority and father figures can appear in the 10th house, or people we view that way. You may look up to this person as an example for yourself,  being inspired by them. The person has great influence on your outward (professional) expression, whether it’s through pain or something positive.
These contacts help you understand your purpose and mission to define your role in society.

11th house
Often a platonic connection, there is a certain amount of distance between you. Creates feelings of uniqueness and belonging. Relating on an intellectual level as well as your aspirations and shared goals.
Shows friends, people from your community,.. but it also shows people you’re drawn towards. Sometimes it shows a person we’re in contact with through internet or met online. This person may change your future perspective, introduce you to new people and may help you in networking.
This may be a lifetime friendship. They show you what friendship means, in the broad sense, that also means that these people can shake you up, unveiling the illusions that you’ve had. They expand your consciousness and awareness of your own uniqueness and how you can use your talents to serve the world. These are the contacts that help you to see creative solutions, changing future plans and wishes.

12th house
Time and distance dissolves, these contacts have an unconditional undertone. You may not get to see one another often. Creates mystical feelings, one can be a hidden enemy, or you may consider this person to be your soul family/tribe. Uncertainty and confusion is possible, as well as feeling addicted to the person. Hard to pinpoint what you feel but it could indicate either a secret enemy, someone that you have some sort of spiritual battle with, you may feel like you don’t connect at all with them. On a more positive note, you understand one another intuitively, there is a great sense of compassion. To be given the time to recover, or to simply be understood in your private and personal suffering.  Someone we feel drawn towards on a spiritual level. It can indicate that we don’t fully know the person very well and that their true identity remains a mystery to us. Spiritual teachers can be found in the 12th house.

Ways to Interpret the NameAsteroids

You can check NameAsteroids only after meeting someone as you don’t know their name prior.
Consider both Placidus and Whole sign house system and see what makes most sense to you, however both will serve a part of the whole as Placidus gives a more Psychological perspective whereas Whole sign is the more traditional approach.

Significant NameAsteroids :
• Conjunct/opposite to an angle with an orb of 0-3
• Tight aspect with Sun or Moon with an orb of 0-3
• Conjunctions or Oppositions are most powerful aspect
• Opposition to Venus/7th ruler could indicate an interruption of marriage

NameAsteroids by Sign :
The sign of a nameasteroid reveals a very layered dimension, revealing the native’s expectations, perceptions, feelings,… the dynamics and confrontations likely to arise in the relationship. It reflects personality traits, expressions, and attitudes from the native’s perspective, illustrating how the other person impacts them. Issues tend to persist until underlying lessons are learned. The sign indicates how the native perceives the other, bringing certain energies to the forefront. It encourages self-reflection as one of the purposes; Do we engage with this person through the positive or negative qualities of that sign? The sign adds a distinct “flavor” to the individual’s presence in the native’s life, often seen through typical traits that the native perceives most vividly, sometimes even as the preferred way of seeing them. Like house placements, the sign placement offers insight into how well we understand or relate to the sign’s energy. For instance, a nameasteroid in Scorpio may evoke obsessive thoughts or deep jealousy in the native, reflecting Scorpio’s lower vibrational traits, suggesting that learning to release control is key to growth and cooperation. Thus, the sign can bring forth stereotypical expressions and recurring issues that demand to be addressed and healed.

Eventually, we’re meant to fully grasp each sign, for which the relationship serves as a catalyst. This will lead us to full consciousness and balanced integration of the 12 dimensions.

NameAsteroids by degree :
This idea stems from the Degree Theory, and apply to the nameasteroids as additional information, which may also be interpreted as verbs.
Go to the Degree Theory page to see what each degree signifies. For instance 9° is associated with foreign matters, thus the nameasteroid person may have a different cultural background than the native, or they may be philosophical.
25° is associated with Aries, and may indicate a relationship that developed quickly or where personal passions and projects play an important role.
Note : Not always will these degrees give away the Sun, Moon or Rising sign of the person, but it just validates and adds more flavor. It could possibly help in your own interpretations as there is always the possibility of knowing more than 1 person with the same name.

Examples 

• I have seen The name of a woman her husband exact conjunct to the ruler of her 7th house. As well as a name asteroid making a trine to Juno and Vertex. Those are strong indicators of marriage, or seeing this person with this name as perfect marriage material.

• I have seen the Name Asteroids of the parents of a child being in the same sign of Sagittarius, whilst the mother’s name is conjunct the MC, it shows the parents to be the teachers of the child.

• I have seen a man his girlfriend’s name making a positive aspect to Saturn while in Synastry she is the Saturn on his DSC. Her name is also sextile to Juno showing him to see her as a perfect spouse, which was what he said in real life.

• I have seen the name Asteroid of a girlfriend exact conjunct to Asteroid Union in the chart of a man.

• I have seen the Name Asteroid of a woman exact conjunct Eros in 8th house of a mans chart, whilst the people involved have had an unusual sexual connection, kinky friends.

• I have seen the Name Asteroid of a man exact conjunct the MC of a woman he abused, while the Name Asteroid opposed Mars and exact trine to Vertex.

• I have seen the Name Asteroid of the partner exact conjunct to the ascendant ruler in a woman’s chart.

• There is often an aspect to Juno or Union and a Name Asteroid of someone you’ve been in a relationship with.

• A woman her name semi-sextile to Neptune in a male chart, while his name is semi-sextile to Juno in her chart. these two people were soullovers, past life husband and wife. The semi-sextile is the ‘unseen’ or a connection that’s unphysical.
