The Asteroids
The asteroids listed here, are the most commonly used in the birthchart & Synastry.
They should be used after you’ve done a general interpretation of the 10 main planets (+ Chiron & Lilith), to add more flavor to the charts.
The main asteroids used for interpretation are the first 4 ; Ceres, Pallas, Juno and Vesta.

Ceres (1)
• Keyword: Nurturing
Asteroid that shows what we need in order to feel loved and nurtured. It is considered a second moon and rules over food, cooking, nutrition. Ceres is associated with fertility, the uterus and stomach. Your Ceres Sign influences mothering, hard work, parenting, and gardening as well. It will show how well we go with the flow. On her negative side, she influences grief, problems related to work, eating disorders, custody issues and kidnapping. It is associated with how you give and receive nurturing, issues with the mother, how you deal with pain, loss and separation. A prominent Ceres represents a strong desire to be a parent or nurturer. She’s indicative for cycle of loss and return, union and separation.

Pallas (2) ⚴
• Keyword: Wisdom
Asteroid that shows where you have genius qualities even though you doubt yourself. It is our creative intellect, the search for truth, art, logical thinking.
An indicator of wisdom, intelligence and healing. Asteroid of marriage, wisdom and childbirth. Where her influence falls is where you will find talents in the following areas. Pallas will help determine how you interpret your relationship with your father, and in turn how you treat all males in general. On her negative side, Pallas Athena represents conflict, legal battles, injustice and illnesses due to a weakened immune system.

Juno (3) ⚵
• Keyword: Commitment
Asteroid of marriage, unions and the principal of commitment. An indication for pregnancy, conception, birth and care. On the negative side she represents power struggles, jealousy, infidelity, arguments. It’s an indicator for what kind of person we’re meant to marry, that what we need to commit. The placement of Juno in your chart is where you may meet someone that you will remain in a long term relationship with. She has influence on the weather, flowers, fairness and female genitalia. In a female chart, Juno represents who you are as a wife. In a male chart, Juno represents what he truly desires in a wife.

Vesta (4) ⚶
• Keyword: Self-sufficiency
Asteroid of what you’re devoted to and how sexuality will develop. She represents sacred unions, the heart fire, spiritual aspiration, celibacy and spiritual sexual energy. When Vesta is prominent in the chart, there may be issues with purity, singleness and sexuality either by abstinence or by one involving oneself with multiple partners which yet leave the individual untouched by relationship. The placement of Vesta by house and sign also indicate the area of life where these issues may manifest. Rules the metabolism and the upper intestine. Influence over locks and keys, sisters, security, investments, insurance, and inheritance. It is the epitome of the home and family, ritual, chastity and sexuality, and devotion. It is how we devote to ourselves and the authenticity of self.

Psyche (16)
• Keyword: Soul
Psyche is the soul and symbolizes where an individual can grow spiritually, where the self-realization is within the Natal chart. It is about deep transformation. When it is touched in synastry by Eros, cupid or Amor, a deep soul connection is present between the two individuals. Indicating that they complement each other on a soul level. Psyche is the essence of your soul and indicates what you need in life.

• Keyword: Sexual attraction
Asteroid of sexdrive and turn-on’s. The physical act of sex. Symbolizes our passion, what sexually attracts us, our sexual preference and the primal font of desire-energy. Shows our longing for completeness and along with Amor provides clues for finding a “soul mate”. The sign placement is often one you feel most attracted to, such as Eros in Aquarius could mean you feel attracted to Aquarian type of people. Eros in a harmonious aspect to Psyche in synastry, indicates soul union and admiration, but more indications are needed for this aspect to be strong enough.
Cupid (763)
• Keyword: Romantic action
Cupid is another name for Eros, it is associated with the trials of love, the initial enthrallment and acts of seduction performed in order to obtain the love object, not the sexual act itself. It signifies infatuation and having a crush on someone when conjunct to someone else’s personal planets or points.
Indicate the style, tone and preferred action for an individual’s romantic powers.
Amor (1221)
• Keyword: Unconditional love
Amor represents a state of loving rather than falling in love. Amor can represent love of anything dear to the heart. It can also symbolize what we substitute for love. The asteroid represents an ideal, if it is afflicted the person can feel incapable of achieving his ideal love or unworthy of being given love. The sign and house Amor is found in can indicate the nature of issues that can block or interferes with the exchange of or participation in earthly, obtainable love.
Union (1585)
• Keyword: Unity
Represent union, marriage and twins. An Asteroid used to predict a meeting or soulmate connections. When using it in transits it can point out the beginning of a special new relationship when touched by a Natal planet, it all depends on the placement and aspects. In Synastry it can help indicate whether two people are capable of mutual growth. Mostly this Asteroid is used to predict a marriage.
Lilith / Black moon (1181)
• Keyword: Intuition, Psychic ability, Rebel, blind spot
Asteroid of intuition and the energetic. Lilith is the purest form of feminine and raw sexuality. She’s is also associated with the worst human sin, suicide, which is probably the extreme consequence of all passions when they are pursued relentlessly. It shows what type of people, amongst those we meet on our path, will play provocative roles in our lives, or even be our enemies. Lilith is not capable of bringing us happiness, as she is not able to trigger real-life events as the real planets do; her impact is exerted on the psyche, on our passions and on the deepest of our desires. She is a channel and portal for psychic abilities and development.
Nessus (7066)
• Keyword: Abuse
Nessus is the evil within us, but also the abuse that is done to us by others, and in some cases it indicates self destruction or abuse. This Asteroids helps to find hidden events from your childhood. It is mostly linked to sexual abuse. When Nessus is conjunct the Sun, it indicates sexual abuse by father or it can also mean that the person with this position has a possibility for becoming an abuser when the ego is wounded. Nessus in 8th house is the strongest indicator of sexual abuse to the individual.
Hades (h41)
• Keywords: The hidden gore
Hades is the planet of sorrow, widows, orphans and grief in general. Planet of death, garbage and crime. Asteroid of hurt, break-ups. It has a connection with past lives and is an indicator of karma. It rules disintegration, waste, bacteria, depletion, erosion, regression, withering, shriveling and decay.
Pholus (5145)
• Keywords : Turning point
A slow moving asteroid that has a strong connection to your purpose and life changing events that feel very fated or magical. If it’s conjunct to any of your personal planets in the birthchart, it indicates a life of memorable events and deepfelt transformations that are connected to the meaning of the planet it’s conjunct to. It is a key in triggering events when activated through transits, progressions, arcs,.. This asteroid can help in overcoming addictions, bad behavioral patterns and destructive behavior.
